On the evening of April 27th, 2009, Michael Carini was violently attacked in his San Diego based studio. During the incident, Carini sustained severe trauma in the form of facial contusions, multiple fractures, ocular trauma that rendered him unable to fully open his left eye for nearly a month, and a concussion that noticeably altered his memory and cognitive abilities. In the subsequent months, Carini returned to his studio with renewed passion, energy, and a new state of mind to offer you a glimpse of the other side-
